IC INFO
[ name ] Peter Benjamin Parker
[ canon ] Marvel's Spider-Man, Earth-616
[ timeline ] The Amazing Spider-Man issue 149; after burning first clone.
[ age ] Late teens bordering into early twenties; specifics are vague.
[ race ] Genetically enhanced human

[ abilities ]
Even before the incident Peter was talented, with a strong will. He has his strengths in intellects: chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, and advanced technology. Though such mental capacity isn't to the point of abnormal or super-genius, his knowledge has the potential for recognition.

The spider bite enhanced Peter to a state of a one with skill superior to the average human. As a result, he gained super strength (to the extent of where a punch can kill a normal person if he doesn't hold back), agility (bordering on superhuman speed), metabolism (quicker healing rate/tolerance to substances/durability to attacks), along with a few arachnid-based abilities. Parker can crawl on most surfaces, deeming that they are not too slippery or fragile - this is through use of his feet and hands. To increase his mobility, Peter developed devices he calls 'web-shooters'; they fire off spider-web capable of sticking to nearly all solid surfaces, a material developed by his own means, most likely due to instinct as a result of his powers. Because of this, Peter will of course be coming to the Facility with a limited amount of this, but it is possible for him to create more if he finds the right materials. In addition to these 'spider-powers', he also has a perception ability that he refers to as 'spidey-sense'. This can be interpreted as a premonition almost; the skill allows him to personal danger, whether it be to him or someone close to him, the feeling is a tingling in the back of his head, sometimes intense depending on the severity of the danger. Paired with his super-speed, this gives Peter a huge edge in reflexes, to where he can even dodge gunfire at point-blank range.
[ appearance ] costume | unmasked
- casual clothing consists of a jacket, plain shirt, sneakers, and so on; costume is worn underneath and mask is kept on him, most likely in a pocket.
[ personality ]
Raised under semi-normal circumstances, Parker was brought up under morals, compassion, and love, a lot of it. Yet because of his own reasons, he grew up finding it easier to surround himself in his studies, because books didn't beat you up or harass you. He became withdrawn, polite, and more reactive than one to initiate events. He learns quick, catches onto ideas and process, technology and makes use of what he has until he's stuck at a dead end.

From the events of the spider bite to Uncle Ben's death and beyond, a subconscious 'adult child' manifests itself within Peter. This is evidenced by when he performs outrageous stunts at Spider-Man, all the while saving the day; it's for the attention, most likely. At times he is known to crack a joke but it changes depending on his identity. Peter seeks to take responsibility where he can, but this happens more seriously when he puts on the mask. Beneath his alter ego, he can tend to be a bit dark at times, not minding because of the fact that no one knows who it is underneath.

In seriousness, despite the outer exterior of Spider-Man, Peter Parker shines through however; once or twice during a confrontation, he's known to crack a joke, laugh uncontrollably at something because of a stupid pun he made, but keep on his feet all the same.

Peter is still human; no amount of powers can change that for him. Time and time again, things come to challenge him, test his patient, his morals - will he do the wrong thing to help himself, help others? When it comes to the line between good and bad, Peter stands firms and refuses, no matter how much temptation calls to him; he's got enough common sense to realize that.

Outside of that web-slinging life, as Peter Parker, he becomes the one that everyone sees as the 'good-hearted' kid, a dork even. Were things different, Peter might have grown up to be the guy to settle down with a nice girl and raise a family, but that's not the case despite the positives. Being Spider-Man has given him a push - he's more outgoing, willing to do what he wants and so on. His problems are so much bigger too though, because of being who he is. Peter struggles to balance his life as himself with his life as Spider-Man. He can't let anyone know his identity, and as a result can end up alienating himself from others if he's not careful. In reality he's a nice person, funny and easy going, at least when he doesn't have to worry about fighting crime and keeping others safe. He puts up a positive front, tries to keep relaxed when on the inside panic can be known to kick in.

Right now, he's just honestly trying to figure out things for himself while keeping the city safe.
[ background ]
Peter's parents were part of the C.I.A., it's where they met, married, and conceived a child. Due to the nature of their jobs, they were always away and unable to take care of their son who often left in the care of his dad's older brother Ben, and his wife, May. On a certain mission, the two were discovered and targeted; their plane was sabotaged by someone called the 'Finisher', it crashed and two bodies were discovered, leading to Peter being an orphan. Alas! That's what the older brother is for, and thus he officially moves in with them.

Too young to remember much of it, it's safe to say that Peter grew up regarding his uncle Ben and aunt May as his parental figures; they got by, they had a simple life, and Peter had this innate talent for science, getting picked on ('Puny Parker') or ignored in school, and being the typical 'troubled youth'.

He was that semi-normal high school student, at least age fifteen. While at a radiology demonstration, Peter was bitten by the subject, a mutant/radioactive spider. Later that night, he discovered he had inherited the abilities of the spider through a genetic mutation. From that point on, he decided to take advantage of this gift and became an entertainer, falling under the alias of 'Spider-Man'. Needless to say, it worked and he wound up on television, became a sensation. While leaving the studio one day, a burglar runs by and Peter doesn't stop him, shrugging it off by saying it's not his problem. He goes unconcerned until he comes home to find out his uncle has been killed during a home invasion. Enraged, he goes after the culprit only to have karma slap him in the face; it had been the man he had let run without a single action.

Uncle Ben's death could have been avoided. Because of that sense of guilt and responsibility, Peter took it upon himself to not exploit his powers for himself anymore. He decides to use Spider-Man as a superhero name, to fight crime and right wrongs, help others. With great power comes great responsibility, after all.

Stereotypical, simple hero story, right? You have an origin, you have a motive, you have the costume, and the catchphrase.

It gets so much more complicated. From that moment on, Peter's tale involves this push and pull between a normal life and a super life; he keeps his identity a secret but at the cost of isolating himself from friends and Aunt May, the only family member he has left. He meets his fair share of villains and allies, sometimes allies turned enemy then back into ally at some point, but he manages to overcome most. He suffers his own loses and betrayals of course however, takes his own hits in love.

One of the more notable villains

Most recently, Peter suffers from the death of Gwen Stacy, a girl whom he had met the first year of college. He got on well with her after breaking with an employee from the newspaper he worked as a photographer for; they had their ups and downs, but many of them originated from Peter's work as Spider-Man, and the complications that came with bad guys. She was his first true love, and she was placed in danger's why when Norman Osborn (a man driven insane through enhancements) discovered Peter's identity as Spider-Man. He held her captive and pushed her off a bridge during the confrontation. Spider-Man had tried to save her through his web, but it had already been too late. Enraged, he attacked Green Goblin, Osborn's super-villain alias, in return, supposedly killing him. Peter had to carry on after that, continue for the rest of the city, he couldn't afford to mope around.

Fighting another batch of bad guys, old and new, Spider-Man is recovering from what had appeared to be Gwen Stacy's clone, and his own due to their college Professor, Miles Warren who couldn't bear with Gwen Stacy's death, so he cloned not only her, but Peter. In the process, he discovered Peter was Spider-Man and attempted to kill him by inciting a fight with the duplicate; instead they teamed up against him. At the point I am taking Peter from, he has just thrown his clone's body into the incinerator, the Gwen Stacy clone is long gone at this point and he is ready to go home.

The feed zaps itself into color. On the other side is a vibrant figure: reds, whites, blues and blacks abound. The eye outlines on the costume seem to widen with his surprise and he almost jumps back from the image but then he's leaning back in to scrutinize it. Hands on his hips, there's a shake of the head from the other, wherever his face is underneath that mask. Turning to look at the room, it seems that he walks right out the door.

Minutes pass and he's coming back in; fumbling over the desk, he grabs the device and closes it before turning back to head past the threshold and into the hall.

Whoa-! I definitely wasn't expecting this to happen. Just thought I'd go home, kick my feet up and relax for once. I mean, after all my professor is dead - it's pretty hard to have a class when you're gone, you know?

. . . Okay, I admit, that was too soon but still, he didn't like me in the first place!

Anyway, would someone mind answering a few questions for a guy?
